Regardless of the Constitutional referendum outcome, early elections are highly unlikely in our view: Italians talk about early polls all the times, but it seldom happens…and it is particularly difficult to happen without coherent electoral rules. If the NO camp wins, the government will have to spend the following year adjusting the electoral law, which is currently tailored around the changes introduced by the Constitutional reform.
