Our updated models for house price inflation suggest that a sustained return to mild price gains at the national level appears likely only in 2019, for this year, we expect prices to remain at best flat.Although the GDP recovery is firm in our view and the unemployment rate is likely to fall further, there is ongoing repricing downwards of wages and a deleveraging trend among families and companies.
